Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to every booking at Ridgeview Camp, Patpadiya, Chopta, District Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand 246419. By paying the advance, you agree to them.

Booking and payment

• For camp stays and the Tungnath, Chopta and Deoria Tal package: to confirm a booking, you pay 50% of the total in advance, online, for example by UPI or bank transfer.
• You pay the remaining 50% at check-in.
• For the Panch Kedar Yatra, we tell you the advance amount, and when to pay the rest, when we send you the price.
• Your booking is confirmed when we send you a confirmation message after receiving the advance.
• Prices on this website are per person.

Cancellation and refunds

Camp stays and the Tungnath, Chopta and Deoria Tal package

• 7 days or more before arrival: we refund your full advance.
• Less than 7 days but more than 2 days before arrival: we refund 25% of the advance.
• 2 days or less before arrival: no refund.
• Instead of cancelling, you can move your booking to other dates if tents are free on those dates.

Panch Kedar Yatra

• If you cancel, the advance is not refunded, because it is paid out to our partners (hotels, vehicles and guides) for your trip.
• If snow, a landslide or another natural disaster stops the trip, we first try to move your dates. If we cannot, we return your advance.

Refunds are sent to the same account you paid from, within 7 working days.

Road closures and weather

For camp stays and the Tungnath, Chopta and Deoria Tal package: if snow or a landslide closes the road on your travel dates, we refund your advance. For the Panch Kedar Yatra, see the cancellation rules above.

Mountain weather can change quickly. If something we arrange for you is not safe, we may change or cancel it, and we will tell you as early as we can.

Check-in and check-out

Check-in is from 1 pm and check-out is by 12 noon.

When you check in, every guest aged 18 and over shows a valid government photo ID and we keep a copy. Younger guests do not need one; a parent's ID is enough.

At the camp

• Everyone must be back in their own tent by 11 pm.
• Do not keep food inside the tents.
• No smoking or alcohol inside the tents. Smoking and drinking are allowed only in the open area of the camp.
• Please switch off the lights when you are not using them.
• Pets are not allowed.
• Please do not light your own fires. Ask us if you would like a bonfire.
• Please do not leave litter on the trail or at the camp.
• Please respect the temples and local customs.
• Please keep your valuables with you.

Treks and activities

Treks are on mountain trails. Please check the weather with us before you start, walk at a pace that suits you, and tell us before the trek about any health condition. You take part in treks and activities at your own risk.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
